Our Journey: From Dream to Reality
When we took over Franklin’s, we knew we wanted to create a space that was more than just a restaurant. We envisioned a place where people could gather with friends and family, enjoy great food, and create lasting memories. To bring that vision to life, we immediately set to work expanding the restaurant. We added a new room, increasing our seating capacity to 72 guests, allowing us to welcome more people into our Franklin’s family. Our hard work and dedication paid off quickly as Franklin’s popularity grew. We didn’t just want to serve food; we wanted to create experiences. That’s why we started hosting special events that drew crowds from all over the area. From our famous pig roast and clambake to our winter luau, where we crank up the heat to chase away the cabin fever, we’ve made it our mission to bring fun and excitement to every season.

When you walk into Franklin’s, you’re not just stepping into a restaurant; you’re stepping into a piece of Proctor’s history. Our walls are adorned with the rich history of the Marble Industry, which played a vital role in shaping this town. We’ve also curated a collection of photos and memorabilia that celebrate Proctor’s many triumphs on the athletic field. For us, preserving and honoring the history of this community is just as important as serving great food.

One of the things that sets Franklin’s apart is our dedication to crafting our own unique flavors. From the moment we took over, Karen and I set out to develop all of our own sauces and spices. Our Friday and Saturday night prime rib dinners have quickly become the stuff of local legend. Cooked to perfection and seasoned with our special blend of spices, our prime rib draws diners from all over Vermont. And let’s not forget about our pizza! Whether you choose to dine in or take it to go, our homemade pizza is a must-try.
